Cardiovascular technologists are caring, compassionate, and empathetic individuals working with vulnerable patients, providing life-saving care.

Job description
Civic Heart Centre is a full spectrum cardiology care clinic offering cardiac
evaluation, management and treatment of various heart conditions. Our expert
staff are focused on making every patient visit a positive experience. The goal of
our Cardiology team is to provide our patients with comprehensive services for
heart health, disease prevention, treatment and management.
We are currently recruiting for a cardiovascular technician for our organization
and provide competitive wages.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Clinic’s physicians (or their designee(s), you will work
collaboratively with the Office Administration team and our team of cardiology
professionals primarily to complete various tasks as they relate to performing 12-
lead ECG, treadmill exercise stress tests, stress echo tests and 24-hour BP monitor
and holter monitor hook ups.
Salary: $32 - $35 per hour
Responsibilities
· Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct
prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
· Greets patient, explains forthcoming tests, position and prepares the patient for
their examination.
· Responsible for performing 12-lead ECG's, Exercise stress tests, stress echo and
24-hour BP monitor, Holter monitor hook up and IV insertion for administration
of contrast.
· Demonstrated knowledge of arrhythmia interpretation skills.
· Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Takes all
reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and
safety legislation and best practices.
· Confirm procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in
accordance with clinic standards.

in a busy clinical environment.
