O.S.C.T. Letter to Employers
To Whom it May Concern:
Please share this information with anyone involved with hiring and employee management and/or retention in your establishment.
This letter is being distributed to inform you of some recent organizational changes that may be affecting your employees that work as Registered Cardiology Technologists (RCTs). These employees may work in various roles throughout your establishment, performing tasks such as:
• Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKGs)
• Stress tests, Stress Echo tests, or MIBI tests
• Holter or Loop monitoring (ambulatory ECG) • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABP)
• Telemetry
• Pacemaker/ICD interrogation
On behalf of the OSCT, we are writing to assure you that, our members are qualified and certified. In order to become (and remain) a member In Active and Good Standing of the OSCT, members are required to:
• Successfully complete an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program in Ontario
• Successfully complete either the CSCT Certification Exam or CCI exam
• Pay annual dues.
• Submit proof of continuing education according to our current Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Standards
Every member of the OSCT has access to their own personalized membership card that will state their full name, membership status, and OSCT registration number. If you would prefer to speak to the OSCT directly to request a member’s status, please reach out to registrar@OSCT.ca.
If you have any staff that performs these, or similar tasks but is not a member of the OSCT, please provide them with our contact information ASAP so that we can ensure there are not any issues with their membership status as a result of this organizational changes.

Description:
We are searching for a dedicated individual to join our faculty team as a Cardiology Technology Program Instructor. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping mature students develop those skills needed to successfully transition into entry level positions in the field.
Working closely with the Program Coordinator, the college instructor teaches in discipline areas in which they have specific training and competence. As such, the instructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that aligns with the values of Anderson College. The instructor will be leading the classes in- person at our North York campus
Hours of Work:
Permanent Hourly (In person), Monday to Friday
Responsibilities and Duties:
Academic
• Deliver instruction in alignment with the approved curriculum.
• Promote collaboration and coordination among instructional staff.
• Communicate student-related issues and concerns to education leadership promptly.
Administrative
• Record and track attendance and grades in accordance with College policies.
• Participate in graduation ceremonies.
• Implement and adhere to College policies and procedures.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Support student orientations.
• Maintain accurate records of student meetings.
Instructional
• Teach using a structured plan that includes lectures, demonstrations, discussions, interactive activities, and projects.
• Clearly inform students of evaluation criteria before assessments.
• Manage classroom time effectively.
• Apply instructional methods that accommodate diverse learning needs and capacities.
• Adjust teaching techniques in response to student progress and feedback.
• Support students in developing effective study skills and work habits.
• Ensure all course objectives and modules are delivered according to program schedules.
• Implement course outlines and daily lesson plans.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Maintain fair, firm, and consistent discipline.
• Monitor student progress regularly and adapt instruction as needed.
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide individualized tutorials or remedial support when required.
• Supervise independent and group projects.
• Keep complete and accurate records of student performance.
• Update evaluation records consistently on the College’s electronic server.
• Prepare final examinations in line with course outline guidelines.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on student progress.
• Maintain thorough documentation in all areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:
• Registered Cardiology Technologist – Active membership in good standing with the CSCT/OSCT
• Minimum five years of experience as a Registered Cardiology Technologist
• Proven knowledge exercise testing, including stress echo, nuclear, and pharmacological., Ambulatory Monitoring, Cardiac Implantable devices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a teaching in an post-secondary institution is an asset.
• High level of proficiency with Office 365 environment, including Outlook, One Drive, SharePoint, Forms, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience in at least one learning management system preferably D2L.
• Ability to communicate well with students of diverse academic, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds, including students with disabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and multiple demands.

software devices and the reporting systems associated with clinical applications. Experience
with Cerner EMR and associated modules.
