Job Description:
Medpoint is currently recruiting for a skilled and professional Cardiovascular
Technologist (CVT) to join our team! Medpoint is a preventative health care centre and is dedicated to helping our clients make health and lifestyle choices that will aid, and even help prevent, injury and disease. As part of Medpoint’s multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, specialists, kinesiologists, dietitians, and nutritionists, the CVT will play a key role in assessing clients.
What your day will look like:
• Performing all cardiac diagnostic testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, Exercise Stress testing, Holter monitor and Ambulatory Blood pressure monitoring in compliance with CSCT guidelines;
• Scanning, monitoring, and analyzing Holters;
• Completing administrative duties to assist with clinic flow;
• Ensuring all quality control assessments are performed as required;
• Taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices;
• Following procedures for proper equipment maintenance while ensuring they are completed in accordance with department standards;
• Applying knowledge of the components and function of cardiac monitoring devices;
• Analyzing recordings as they relate to patient symptoms and medications;
• Identifying and reporting on conditions requiring physician attention;
• Maintaining a database file of patient information, events, and monitoring periods and transferring all data to Medpoint’s EMR system; • Participating in meetings as required; and
• Completing other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who has completed a Cardiovascular Technologist diploma recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and is eligible for membership with the CSCT. We are also looking for a candidate that that holds current CPR certification.

Job Description:
Medpoint Health Care Centre has an upcoming opening for a part-time/full-time Cardiac Sonographer. The sonographer will perform a variety of echocardiography techniques in order to obtain optimal images to assist with the detection and diagnosis of conditions and diseases of the cardiovascular system. Tests will include but not be limited to:
• Echocardiograms
• Stress echocardiograms
• Contrast echocardiography
The sonographer will also be required to:
• Input relevant data into the diagnostic imaging information system
• Prepare accurate reports for physician interpretation following the cardiologist's protocol
• Assess, evaluate and respond to patients based on age or other functional limitations
• Assist patients with emphasis on quality patient care while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Notify cardiologist of significant scan deviations that may necessitate immediate attention to the patient
• Ensure that equipment is well kept and in good working order, and
• Perform other cross-functional responsibilities as requested
Requirements:
• Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonography / Adult Echocardiography
• Current registration ARDMS and/or CARDUP and/or CRCS, Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration
• Experience is an asset
• Ability to prioritize and accommodate urgent requests
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment
• Ability and confidence to work independently and act as a resource on behalf of the department.

• Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKGs)
• Stress tests, Stress Echo tests, or MIBI tests
• Holter or Loop monitoring (ambulatory ECG) • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABP)
• Telemetry
• Pacemaker/ICD interrogation
On behalf of the OSCT, we are writing to assure you that, our members are qualified and certified. In order to become (and remain) a member In Active and Good Standing of the OSCT, members are required to:
• Successfully complete an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program in Ontario
• Successfully complete either the CSCT Certification Exam or CCI exam
• Pay annual dues.
• Submit proof of continuing education according to our current Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Standards
Every member of the OSCT has access to their own personalized membership card that will state their full name, membership status, and OSCT registration number. If you would prefer to speak to the OSCT directly to request a member’s status, please reach out to registrar@OSCT.ca.
If you have any staff that performs these, or similar tasks but is not a member of the OSCT, please provide them with our contact information ASAP so that we can ensure there are not any issues with their membership status as a result of this organizational changes.
